Amdurski- Benny
|
Benny Amdurski was born in Jerusalem in 1931. In 1957 he met Israel Guryon and together they formed "Ha'Dudaim" which later became one of the most successful Israeli folk groups ever.
Later on, He formed "The Yarkon Trio" together with Arik Einstein and Yehoram Gaon.
Amdurski then turned to producing and was very successful in this arena as well. He produced "HaChalonot HaGvohim", an Israeli group which was very successful during the 1960-1970, as well as several successful albums.
During his life, Amdurski established himself as one of the pillars of Israeli culture, and his death due to cancer in 1994 was mourned by all of Israel.
