Klezmer music is the traditional instrumental music of the Yiddish speaking Jews from Eastern Europe (the Ukraine, Byelorussia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia). The word klezmer is derived from the Hebrew words "klee" (instrument) and "zemer" (song). Musicians who played klezmer music were called Klezmorim. The clarinet and the violin are considered to be the dominant instruments of in klezmer music. Since the end of the 20th century more and more klezmer artists began to combine Yiddish vocal singing in their performances. In addition to Giora Feidman, you will also find additional artists on this album such as Shmuel Achiezer, Musa Berlin, "Di Goyim", Yisrael Zohar and others.
