Cantor Joseph Rosenblatt, who is known by the name "Yossale" was born in the Ukraine in 1882, passed away in Jerusalem in 1933 and was buried in the Mount of Olives.
He served as a cantor in Hungary and in Germany and reached the height his publicity when he moved to the United States.
He recorded 182 prayers and songs in Yiddish and is considered to be the most favorite among the cantors.
These recordings were made a long time ago, some over 90 years ago.
We have done our utmost to neutralize background noises while keeping with the originality of the recordings, we hope that the historical value of these recordings will compensate for the quality in some of the pieces.
