She was born in Kibbutz Kinneret by the shores of the Kinneret Lake (Sea of Galilee), which influenced her to write about "The beautiful Land of Israel".
Her song "Jerusalem of Gold" was composed in 1967, in the aftermath of the "Six-day war", and is known all around the world.
